Professional Biography
Dr. Joanna Luzzi, Psy.D., is a licensed clinical neuropsychologist. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Arizona State University (ASU) and her master’s degree in forensic psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City. She subsequently moved to the Washington, DC metropolitan area, where she earned an additional master’s degree in clinical psychology and her doctorate in clinical psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology, Argosy University.
During her doctoral training, she completed an APA-accredited internship with an emphasis in psychological assessment and neuropsychology at Washington Medical Group in Washington, DC. Following completion of her doctorate, Dr. Luzzi pursued a two-year fellowship in neuropsychology and received additional didactic training through the Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC) Fellowship Seminar.
Dr. Luzzi specializes in neuropsychological evaluation and consultation focused on the aging brain, including the assessment of mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and dementia. She has extensive experience evaluating and treating individuals with a range of neurological and psychiatric conditions, including multiple sclerosis (MS), traumatic brain injury, stroke, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and Parkinson’s disease (PD). She has delivered presentations at Insight Memory Care Center and has presented at the American Psychological Association (APA).
